  1. Understand the risks. Any kind of hacking is against the rules of the game and will get you banned from play if you are caught. Server hacking (packet hacking) is against the law, since those packets and servers are the property of the company.   2. Learn the values to change. The settings you need to change are stored in hexadecimal, or Base-16 notation which means they will be 8 digits long and sometimes contain numerals. o set new values you will need to express those in hex also. For example let's say you have 100% speed and you want 120% speed. Pretend that the value for 100% speed is AAAAAAAA and the value for 120% speed is BBBBBBBB.
  3. Find and Download the tools. To do these hacks you will need two software tools. We cannot give you links to these tools as they never stay in the same place and their names change as the company is vigilant about shutting these programs down. You will need to do your own Google search to find them:

    • Download a cheat engine.
    • Download a bypass for Gameguard, software put in place to protect the game from hackers.
  4. Hack the game.

    • Open your cheat engine.
    • Open Maplestory.
    • Select Maplestory as the process you want to hack in the cheat engine. You can set Maplestory as the default if you wish.
    • Log in and get to where you want to hack.

  5. Use your cheat engine to find the value you want to change. In the example AAAAAAAA:

    • Change it to the new value, in our example BBBBBBBB.
    • Press Confirm. Sometimes you have to tick 'ZF' to activate that hack (Ctrl+R on your Cheat List).
    • Check to see if it worked. If the hack did not work then you may have made a mistake or the hack may be patched.
  6. Know the values. To get your started here is a list of common values to change:

    • Godmode: A value that you change so you never get hit.
    • Dupex Vac: You need to add some code so the monster comes to you.

    • Level hack: You have to hack server

Alright so today's lesson is wz editing. Wz editing can be used in many ways such as editing the look of a map, look of a skill look, look of a mob, or any maple story wz file. This can be used while creating your own server, to change the look of your own Maplestory game, or even crash maps. Today I will teach you how to wz edit ones eyes and afterwards you can take what you learn and use it for your own hacking needs.
Steps to wz editing:
1. Download HaRepacker
2. Download the GM Hand Book (Optional but may come in handy)
3. Run HaRepacker as an administrator
4. In the drop box, select 'GMS(T) (v56+)'

5. Go to File>Open and Find your Maplestory folder. You should see something like this:
6. Open up the wz file you wish to edit. In this case I will be editing the 'Character.wz' file.

7. Click the plus next to the 'Character.wz' (Or which ever wz you chose) file. Find what you want to edit. I will be looking under 'Face' because that is where eyes are found.
8. Under 'Face I am going to look for the default face image of the face I wish to edit. When I click on 'face' (Face>0020001.img>defult>face) I see the current image for this face.

9. Now if I click 'Change Image.' I can select a new face/eye for my character.
10. Now you will see your new face in the window. Save the file over your current wz file and run Maplestory. You will now see your new face/eye in the stylist of your sever and can select the new image.

Tips:
-You can only see your wz edits, others cannot. Although others cannot see wz edits, if you have a map edit other players may see you floating above the ground which in most servers will result in a ban.
