Nn-xt Auto Map Samples Download I did it the hard way at first, then i figured, if i take a rex file, with 16 slices, load it up as a patch (not as individual samples) and then go to the remote editor and delete the samples (yet keep the zones) you can save that as you blank drum patch, and from there, all you have to do is load samples into. Choir sounds in Propellerhead Reason
Choir sounds are quite epic to use in a musical production. In Propellerhead Reason there are different ways to create a rich full scale choir sound. If synthesizers are you game, then using the Malstrom or Thor could do the trick pretty well. When it comes to some form of realism an NN-XT patch could be ideal. Sometimes we need a bit of both. In this article we'll be looking in to our top picks to create a full scale choir using samplers, synthesizers and effects. So lets just scream right in to this.

Round Robin tables in the NN-XT
Round robin is a technique where multiple samples are created from the exact same note. Often this technique is applied in terms of orchestral sounds (such as violins, horns, trumpets and alike) or guitars. The idea is that an instrument will never be played with the exact same stroke and precision. There for a note gets samples a couple of times thus creating multiple samples of the exact same note per instrument. When the sounds are mapped inside a sampler, the sampler will playback one sample from a set of x-samples based on the same note.

Creative Drum Processing using the NN-XT in Reason
In the beginning of this year I posted a small article which contained a question like 'What would help you to make better music in 2014'. In this topic there was one reply which I find pretty balls on accurate where I can really help out. AlphaSmash posted a comment saying: 'I would love to see and learn an approach to creating rhythm/drum tracks in style of Squarepusher and Venetian Snares with Reason. You always seem have a bag of tricks for this type of thing :)' As I have .

Granular NN-XT
Welcome back to another Reason 6.5 Tutorial about the NN-XT. In this article I will write stuff down about a 'fake' granular synth using the NN-XT. It is a fake method because it isn't 100% granular. The main concept op granular synthesis is that a sound gets chopped up in smaller segments called grains. These grains form the perfect loop points. In the NN-XT there is a method to fake this, however the loop points aren't perfect. But it gets close to what I want to accomplish from time

NN-XT advanced sampler and audio outputs
Welcome back to another Reason 6.5 tutorial, in this tutorial I will write some useful stuff about using audio outputs from the NN-XT. In a way, this is similar as using Audio Outputs of the Dr OctoRex. Difference is, the NN-XT has more output slots. And second the NN-XT had them since Reason 2.5. While the Dr Rex had this since Reason 5. Case and point, using multiple audio outputs has been an important part for layering different type of drums (in particular). One could choose to put a zone in a .

NN-XT advanced sampler Loop Points
Welcome to another Reason tutorial. In this tutorial I would like to write down some ideas regarding loop points using the NN-XT advanced sampler. Loop points inside the NN-XT come with a certain limitation, as they can only be set once (and not be changed while the song progresses over time). However there are some advanced methods to make use of loop points. One method would be defining the Sample start to Velocity to change the sample start point for instance. But before I would jump ahead I will .

The NN-XT advanced sampler is pretty versatile in Reason 6.5. Even while it has been there since Reason 2.5. Still till this day there are moments that I prefer the NN-XT to layer samples. However, the NN-XT isn't the only sampler tool in Reason. Let us recap: - The Redrum drum-computer is a 10 channel sampler player. Mostly ideal for drums and triggering monophonic sound effects - The NN-19, the digital sampler is another unit that is meant for playing samples on a midi keyboard. These .

NN-XT sampler and Rex files
Welcome back to another Reason Tutorial. I would like to make a nice transition from the OctoRex to NN-XT by digging in to a topic called 'Importing Rex files in the NN-XT'. For most people who have been following my stuff, you will know that loading up Rex files in the NN-XT isn't something new. In fact, it is a pretty old technique. There are some benefits and downsides with using Rex files inside the NN-XT. Benefits using Rex files in the NN-XT: - layers - zones - more .

When you open up the remote programmer of the Reason NN-XT advanced sampler, you would probably go nuts around the amount of knobs that are inside the NN-XT in Reason. However, it isn't that hard to understand its full capacity. From the bottom right to the bottom left you have the basic settings such as amplitude envelope, filter, pitch, modulate envelope, LFO2 and LFO1. When looking at a normal synth like the subtractor or thor, one can control these using the edit automation feature. While the NN-XT
