Any smartphone is incomplete without a working internet connection- weather via mobile data or Wi-Fi connectivity. We all can access the internet over Wi-Fi at our homes and at work, but the problem arises when we are on the move and don’t have access to even 2G. Generally you don’t even need to configure your mobile phone for using the 4G, 3G, GPRS, and EDGE internet. However, sometimes Vodafone may not have the 3G or 4G LTE settings for your phone. And sometimes, the settings sent by Vodafone refuse to get your phone connected to the internet. That is when we try configure the internet manually on our phone.
Now different phones have different options in the settings but the most important of them is the APN (Access Point Name). Miss a single dot in the APN and you won’t get connected to the internet.
If you are using an Android smartphone based on Android v4.0 (ICS) or older, then go to:
Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names > Touch On Menu > New APN.
For Manually Setting Up 4G/3G/2G Settings on Android Kitkat v4.4.x follow this procedure:
Go to Settings > More… > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names > +
Here are the 4G/3G/GPRS internet settings for setting up Vodafone mobile internet access manually on your phone:
